The Silk Laundry Art Prize celebrates the photographic works of our global community, honouring craftsmanship, artistic expression and visual storytelling. Across its editions - Flowers in Focus, Nature’s Laboratory and Flowers in Bloom - the Prize has explored our ongoing dialogue with nature, inviting artists to observe, reflect and capture the world with intention. More than a competition, it is a growing cultural platform where art and nature meet.

Sacred Earth is an open call to observe the natural world — not as a backdrop, but as something living, fragile and worth protecting. This year focuses on moments of becoming — where life is beginning, continuing, or being protected. From seeds breaking through soil to regrowth after fire, from migration to regeneration, we’re interested in the systems and cycles that shape the world around us.We’re inviting our community to submit a single photographic image that captures their perspective.

Expansive or close. Quiet or unexpected.
What matters is the way it’s seen.

Open to photographers of all ages and backgrounds, the Silk Laundry Art Prize welcomes emerging and established voices alike. Through photography, contribute to a global creative conversation rooted in nature, observation and shared experience.
Submit your work and become part of a growing international community.

IMAGE USE & RIGHTS

By entering the Silk Laundry Art Prize, you grant Silk Laundry the right to use your submitted image across brand platforms.
This includes, but is not limited to:
– Digital and social channels
– Editorial features and the Art Prize magazine
– In-store and exhibition displays
– Physical formats such as prints, publications and selected merchandise

All artists will be credited wherever their work is used.

Submit one photographic image that captures a moment within the natural world - observed, not staged.

This could include:
– Nature and landscapes
– Wildlife and animals
– Plants, flowers or organic textures
– Environmental details or close-ups
– Moments of change, growth or movement

Your image can be literal or interpretive, but it should connect to Sacred Earth. Something observed, in transition, or worth holding onto.

Keep it simple. If the image feels considered in the way it’s seen - it fits.

Shot on anything - phone or camera. It’s about the way you see.

1st Prize: $2,000 AUD + $3,000 Silk Laundry wardrobe
2nd Prize: $1,000 AUD + $1,500 Silk Laundry wardrobe
3rd Prize: $1,000 Silk Laundry wardrobe
