Chiffon Bias Cut Pants Goldfinch
The chiffon take on our bias cut pant, cut from 8 momme silk chiffon for a lightweight, semi-sheer version of the silhouette. The chiffon has a fluid, barely-there quality that moves differently from the satin, and the drawstring waist lets you adjust the fit through the hip. Designed to layer, either over a fitted base or worn alone for a more deliberate look.
Made in China by the same artisan workshop that produces our full silk range, and OEKO-TEX certified.

In plain terms
What is it made from? 100% silk chiffon, 8 momme. Chiffon is a lightweight, open-weave silk that is sheer by nature. At 8 momme it is delicate and airy, with a very different character from our 19 momme satin bias pant.
How does it fit? A regular fit cut on the bias, so it skims rather than clings. The waist is a drawstring rather than the standard elasticated pull-on, so you can adjust the fit through the hip.
How do I care for it? Hand wash only in cool water with a gentle silk friendly detergent. It is not suitable for the machine. Lay flat or hang to dry, away from direct heat.
Is it lined or sheer? The chiffon is semi-sheer. It works best layered over a base, or worn for occasions where a sheer fabric is appropriate.
What does it go with? Goldfinch is a warm yellow that layers beautifully. Pair over an ivory or cream base for a tonal look, or over black for contrast. The chiffon weight makes it particularly well suited to layering through spring and summer.

HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF
Take your body measurements and find the garment size based on your fit preference.
1. Bust
Place the tape measure at the fullest part of your chest, wrap it around your back and under your armpits, and bring it back to the front.
2. Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waistline, typically above your belly button and below your rip cage.
3. Hip
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks, keeping it parallel to the ground.
4. Shoulder Width
Measure across the back of your shoulders from one edge to the other, starting where your arm meets your shoulder.
5. Arm Length
Start from the top of your shoulder, extend your arm straight out, and measure to the wrist bone.
6. Outseam
Measure down the outer side of your leg from your natural waist to the desired length, such as the ankle or floor.
7. Crotch Depth
Sit on a chair with a straight back, then measure from the chair's surface or seat to your waist.
Remember to use a flexible measuring tape for accuracy, consider having someone assist you, and wear form fitting clothing or undergarments for precise measurements.
